Located in the vibrant neighborhood of Seattle’s Ballard district, Giddy Up Burgers is a standout destination for burger aficionados and casual diners alike. This bustling hamburger restaurant and sports bar effortlessly combines classic American flavors with innovative twists, creating an inviting atmosphere where families, friends, and solo visitors can indulge in crave-worthy comfort food with a spirited edge.
The heart of Giddy Up Burgers is undeniably its bold and creative burger lineup. Signature offerings like the OMG Burger — a mouthwatering 1/3 lb patty stacked with caramelized onions, sautéed mushrooms, and mellow Gruyère cheese — deliver a rich, savory experience that delights with every bite. For those craving something with a bit more kick, the Swayze layers smoky BBQ and buffalo sauces with crispy fried pickled jalapeños, balancing heat and tang in a perfectly crafted sandwich. The classic Big Cheese, with bacon, cheddar, and the house “Giddy Sauce,” offers a nostalgic yet elevated take on a timeless favorite.
Beyond burgers, the menu provides a variety of tempting options such as the succulent Kickin’ Fried Chicken Sandwich, fresh and crispy Buffalo Cauliflower, and the surprisingly addictive Poblano Chili Burger. Sides like golden French fries, crispy tater tots, and sweet potato fries add both texture and comfort, while a crisp, refreshing salad bar caters to those seeking lighter fare. Not to be missed is the Ice Cream Shoppe’s self-serve Sundae Bar, featuring premium Edaleen Dairy flavors and the tropical delight of Dole Whip — a perfect sweet ending to any meal.
Giddy Up Burgers also doubles as a lively bar & grill and sports bar, boasting an impressive selection of local and craft beers that pair wonderfully with their hearty menu. Whether you choose to settle inside amid the casual, family-friendly vibe or bask in the relaxed outdoor seating, you’ll find a welcoming environment that encourages lingering over good food and spirited conversation.

I love this place! I was in the neighborhood for a class and had time for dinner. Went in around 6:30 on a Wednesday and found a lot of families having a good time here. Self order kiosk worked well for me! Gave me time to peruse the menu more. Ordered the OMG burger and fries and was blown away by the price. I know beef is going up and that I’m eating in Seattle, but damn. Immediately after placing my order, the fountain drink I ordered was walked right to me, a cup to fill up and a lineup of small biz sodas at my disposal. I tried both the cola and lemon lime and they hit well. Now, when the burger came out, my buyers remorse immediately disappeared. I could SMELL the burger like you’d expect to smell a steak coming to your table at a fine restaurant. It was a new experience for me. As I ate my OMG burger, I drifted into a blissful state. The fries were also hot and fresh. The environment was welcoming and felt like a great communal spot. I’m going back for certain, even if it does cost me an hour of labor to eat here (looking fo IT work—find me on LI!!) It’s so worth it. Bringing my kids next time!
Was pleased with the variety of burger options, quite tasty and excellent onion rings. They have a sizable beer selection as well. Opted to eat outside, was quite empty when arrived, but a stream of patrons continued to arrive, but still peaceful on a weekday.
This is one of my favorite burger places in Seattle. They have great burger options, deep fried veggies and plenty of tables. This is one of the places I can take my kids and they are happy, too. If you, like me, enjoy Chile peppers on your burger, you should try the one at giddy up, can't go wrong with that.
Our first time visiting America, and Giddy Up Burgers was the very first place we ate, and wow, what a way to start the trip. I still can’t stop thinking about the “Kit N Caboodle” burger. Hands down, it’s the best burger my family and I have ever had. I never leave reviews, but this place absolutely deserves every star. The staff were genuinely kind, and despite it being a little busy and us placing a pretty big order, the food was out in under 10 minutes, impressive service. If you're ever in the Seattle area, this is a spot I’ll be recommending to everyone.
Giddy Up Gourmet Burger is a gem for burger enthusiasts and food lovers alike. The ample seating made it easy to find a comfortable spot, whether you’re there for a casual hangout or a nice family meal. The service is impressively fast, and the servers are both knowledgeable and friendly. On my visit, I tried the Kickin’ Fried Chicken Sandwich and the Grilled Chicken Sandwich, accompanied by sides of sweet potato fries and haystack onion rings. The sandwiches were supremely delicious, with tender chicken and perfectly balanced sauces that truly elevated the flavors. The sweet potato fries were a standout—crispy and flavorful, they were an excellent complement to the main dishes. The haystack onion rings, which are thinly sliced compared to traditional onion rings, offered a unique twist. While I appreciated the innovation and the flavor, I found myself missing the classic onion rings. However, this didn’t detract from my overall enjoyment of the meal. I would definitely visit again to try more of their offerings.
My husband and I came to Giddy Up looking for good burgers. We found them! The big cheese and the poblano burger were delicious. We also shared a large side of today. It was more than enough to share. There was a large selection of drinks as well. Indoor and outdoor seating avail. We didn’t try it but there was also a self-serve ice cream by the ounce. Overall we left satisfied and will happily be back to try more burgers.
Great burgers with a variety of toppings made to order. The fries are delicious, and they have a wide selection of craft beers on tap; from ales and pilsner to porter and stout. If you'd prefer a soda, they have a local brand which is very good. The atmosphere is super casual and the barn area is a lot of fun.
